Mosaic Mercy

Moved To Mosaic Mercy

November 27, 2009

Mosaic Mercy

I know it seems like I move every 3 seconds but when I moved I actually made my life simpler.  I was running Matthew 19:29 and Rule of Christ Jesus.  I am keeping all of my Rule of Christ Jesus posts here and have moved all of my Matthew 19:29 posts to a new and now my only blog Mosaic Mercy.

If you would like to trade blogroll links that would be great.  After you have added me to your blogroll then either leave me a comment on this post or you can also go to my contact page and let me know.  Once I am informed I will add you to mine.  You might want to keep in mind that Mosaic Mercy is a ministry/life blog when considering me for your blogroll.

Hope to see you over there soon.

To Mike aka MonolithTMA I have added you to my new blogroll if you don’t mind could you please update me on yours?

Christian Advertising FAIL WTF

August 4, 2009

Okay people with half a brain can you tell us what is wrong here?  I’d give you a clue but it seems too obvious.

This is labeled under and the wisdom here is think of better titles for a book series.

There’s Probably A God – No Need To Worry – God’s Grace Equals Enjoyment

July 31, 2009

Atheist Bus SloganI believe there is a God.  My belief in God does not cause me to worry.  I am not really sure what I would worry about.  God’s grace is awesome, which leads to enjoyment in life.  Can one have enjoyment without God?  Not sure and this is because I have been following Jesus since I was 10.  I can’t recall much joy prior to 10.  When I was 10 two things happened in my life.  I became a Christian and I got a Nintendo.  A kid without a Nintendo doesn’t have much enjoyment.  Well anyways I am here to tell you that this British bus slogan is rather silly governor.

Westboro Baptist Church: What I Would Say To You If I Wasn’t A Good Christian

July 29, 2009

Disclaimer- I don’t use nice churchy words in my rant.

Westboro Baptist Church puts a sour taste in the mouth of those who follow Christ let alone in the mouths of those who don’t.  What is our best course of action with somebody like the God Hates Fags church?  Well If I wasn’t a good Christian there is plenty I would like to say to WBC.

Guess what?  I’m not that great of a Christian so here goes:

Westboro Baptist Church you suck! God loves homosexuals and I think you are in danger of the fires of hell!  God calls us to love Him and to love our neighbor as our self.  Vengeance is God’s!  Not yours.

Westboro Baptist Church member have you ever told a lie?  Have you ever hated (oh wait, dumb question)?  Have you ever lusted?  Have you ever fornicated?  One sin, that is what separates one from God and it doesn’t matter which one.  Being a homosexual is not a sin.  Yeah I probably lost the 2 people who read this blog but listen to these words that come from a student of Calvin Miller,

(On whether or not Paul was gay or straight) The key thing is not what we are, but whether or not we yield to the temptations that can destroy us.  The issue is not whether we are gay or straight.  The point is that Paul–like the rest of us–also had a sexual nature, and that like all good Christians, he had taken a stand against all sexuality outside of marital commitment. Three Feet Away

July 29, 2009

Sommermorgen - summer morning in NorwayLove comes slowly for those with bad sight
You are right there with me all day long
Only three feet away but even this so far
By sunset I long to have you ever close
Five years have passed but they seem only seconds
Something tells me that forty-five years will soon be here
Every moment is fleeting but you’re still three feet away
Moments happen so fast my love, where did they go
At the end of the day your hand loves with soft touches
Listening, talking and company that is overdue
All day long I desire to be with you, gift from above
All day long I desire to be with you, not three feet away

Beyond The 10/40 Window (1)

July 27, 2009

german-flagGermany

Religious freedom.  A close cooperation between the government and the RC Church and Protestant Established Churches (EKD) in religious education, media, etc.  All denominations with ‘public law status’ can levy taxes on their members which are collected by the government on their behalf.  High Christian numbers below are often for those who have not opted out of this taxation system.  There is a growing hostility to anything overtly Christian.

69.47% of the population is labeled Christian.  Christianity is about discipleship.  One cannot be born a Christian.  Being Lutheran or Catholic doesn’t qualify one as a Christian.  My Lutheran friend in Germany is also a professing Atheist.  The number of those who are growing in their walk with Christ is not 69.47%.  It is closer to 1.5%.

What can you do?  Pray.  Give to those who plan on being missionaries there.  Go. Read more…

The Holy King Of Israel Loves Me Here In America

July 24, 2009

Shores-Of-North-New-EnglandSaints and children we have gathered here to hear the sacred story
And I’m glad to bring it to you with my best rhyming and rhythm
‘Cause I know the thirsty listen and down to the waters come
And the Holy King of Israel loves me here in America

And if you listen to my songs I hope you hear the water falling
I hope you feel the oceans crashing on the coast of north New England
I wish I could be there just to see them, two summers past I was
And the Holy King of Israel loves me here in America

And if I were a painter I do not know which I’d paint
The calling of the ancient stars or assembling of the saints
And there’s so much beauty around us for just two eyes to see
But everywhere I go I’m looking Read more…

Atheists And Theists Square Off: In God We Trust

July 22, 2009

In God We TrustOver at there is an article where I found this comment,

” ‘In God We Trust’ excludes and treats as outsiders the millions of adult Americans, including as many as 15% of all adults, who are not religious, i.e., atheists, agnostics, skeptics and freethinkers, none of whom possesses a belief in a god; the mandated language diminishes nonbelievers by making god-belief synonymous with citizenship.”

Question for the Atheist: If “In God We Trust” was eliminated from the United States of America’s language wouldn’t 85% of adults who do believe in God be neglected and feel as if they were second class citizens?

Question for the Theists: Does it make a difference whether or not the USA includes “In God We Trust” on things such as dollar bills or saying “under God” in our pledge?

UPDATE: I changed Christian to Theists in the title but didn’t do it in the Permalink because I have already submitted it to several places.
