Last post I gave just the words but that is because I couldn’t find the music for it. This is my absolute favorite song that Andrew Peterson has written.
I am not yet a family man but my wife and I are looking forward to it hopefully in the near future. I think even if your not a family man or woman you will appreciate the words and the sketches that are played out before you. Hope you enjoy!
Update- In the link below I put my site’s address for the jackass’s site which kind of makes me look like the Jackass… I assure you I am not. ![]()
Somebody over at ChristWire.org said that if your wife gets out of line “just give them…a little Godly tap on the cheek.” What a jackass! If I ever saw him doing this to his wife I would give him more than a tap on the cheek and I would do it all in the name of Jesus. If you disagree with his tactics then he just calls you a liberal. I’m not liberal and I still disagree with him.
Seriously does anybody in their right mind think it is okay to beat their wife?
1 Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man.” 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. 4 But Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”
“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”10 The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. 11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.” Genesis 4:1-12
2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. 5 (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7 He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. 1 Timothy 3:2-7

Okay people with half a brain can you tell us what is wrong here? I’d give you a clue but it seems too obvious.
This is labeled under Ministry Wisdom and the wisdom here is think of better titles for a book series.
Do you use Twitter? If so why?
If you don’t use Twitter why not?
You could tweet me your answer but I prefer a comment, thanks.
Want to know the coolest thing about Christ’s coming? Not that the One who hung the galaxies gave it up to hang doorjambs…. Not that he refused himself when blamed for every sin of every slut and sailor since Adam… Not even that after three days in a dark hole he stepped into the Easter sunrise with a smile…. That was cool, incredibly cool.
But…the coolest thing about the One who gave up the crown of thorns–he did it just for you. Just for you.
I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ -Philippians 3:8
This is a song from the group Waterdeep. I don’t think I have heard them on Christian radio but the good artists are usually not played for everyone to hear.
Wicked Web
You told me you had money coming down the way
“Can I borrow fifty bucks, man, just to get me through the day”
You promised you were free this time of all of your old ways
But I bought your story last time, and I can’t afford to buy todayAnd I think I see the drummers now
They’re coming down the road
They’re striking up a funeral beat
They heard you’re getting oldI know you. You ain’t fought ‘em
You let ‘em play the song
Then you fell in step when they asked you
if you wanted to come alongCHORUS
What a wicked web we weave
when first we practice to deceive
Spinnin out a house of make-believe
We’re like a serpent on the ear of EveWell, brother if you mean to tell the truth
You better improve your diction
Cause the words that you been letting slide
are definitely fictionI been lookin for a place
to lay my sorrow down
And I found out where to lay your lies
up on that dying groundGod knows what your debt has cost
It’s already been paid
On a Roman cross, a screaming man
and a cave where He was laid
